Geographical Location

Phu Bai International Airport is located in Huong Thuy commune, Thua Thien Hue province, next to the national hinghway 1A. The airport is about 15 km from Hue city to the southeast and takes about 20 minutes to get from the airport to downtown Huế by bus.

The aerodrome reference point is the intersection of runway 09/27 and taxiway E1, with geographical coordinates: 16º24’02.30”N – 107º42’2310”E (according to the coordinate system WGS-84), 15 m MSL high.

Topography of the airport: The airport is located on a quite flat land, however it is a little lower in the East and higher in the West. The average slope of the runway is 0.411% ( East to West).
